More pretend, for adults.

Today I made use of one of my standby pretend scenarios.  This strategy's goal is to avoid shame for my generation.  Ultimately, this replaces having a dissociative fugue whenever I lose hope in the world.

I'm glad you said something. I get really upset when that happens, too. Usually I lead by example and push through people to make room, but sometimes that's not an option.
And I can't believe nobody listened to you! That they all stared at you!
As for pretending I'm not part of the shitty generation, I just know that I care so much more about people than the collective group does. There needs to be more psychology experiments on CATA busses. Collective Jerk is right. Wow.

I don't pretend that I'm not in the generation even when I do look down on it.

In any case, I completely agree; some people are so inconsiderate it almost makes me sick.
