I would be envious if you family were being so obviously garish with their gift giving. It's one thing to tastefully display your wealth, a whole different story to flaunt it like you're one of the neavou riche.
My parents may have only transfered ownership of one of the smaller companies to my name, but it will be a good learning experience for me. I'll be receiving regular status reports, will help make some decisions and take a more direct control this summer.

This is the start of my formal inheretence--so it is definitely in my best interest to ensure that the company does well! It's a bit overwhelming, really. But I have known the board for several years now, and they are comprised of men that my father has the utmost trust in. It shall truly be a learning experience.
