Thoroughly enjoyed this. Beautifully written as always. So many lines stood out for me that to paste them would probably fill this comment to capacity.

Thank you! This fic is a bit of an odd duck, but I wanted the challenge of writing something with these two characters. Now back to A/R. I think some happy sexy tiems are in order!

You're right that this fic is an odd duck. It's really more of a short character study than anything else. But its made me think every single time I've read it. And that is the best kind of fic of all...

I love this story. It's insightful, beautifully written and I think it really touches on a human side of both of them that was sorely missing in the series.

Plus, hot kiss was hot. And kind of romantic in a way.

Thank you! I appreciate the feedback. I wanted to experiment a little and this story was a chance to do that. And I'm glad you liked the kiss. That is the image I actually had in my head many moons ago when I first scribbled down an idea for this fic before setting it aside. I found Natalie so fascinating that I wanted a chance to write about her a bit and to see what Laura might think of her. :)

Thanks! I really liked Natalie and I wish she and Laura could have shared more scenes together. So sometimes you just have to take those matters into your own hands.
