But seriously, I love how you thought outside the box for this one. Not the "endings" where the readers are going to be sobbing messes at the end of it all, rather a happier ending for both of them. And their banter! I love it. Really, it makes the story even more awesome for me. To think that despite their bad situation they can still have a sense of humor, it's epic.

P.S. I loooooooooooooved how you closed it at the end. "Relief. Joy. Hope. Love. In these things he had made her believe." GUH. Just... GUH. Quiet epic, Space!Mommy. :)

You know I love this one. I like how you took a prompt that was about the end of the show and their relationship and you gave it a new and unique twist. You also made the scenario so realistic and drew out an element that we haven't done in fic yet. It's fabulous.

Lovely. I like to think that they carved out many moments like this on the show; we just didn't see them :).

I loved that this started out for Laura, but became very much for both of them. So good.

When I started writing this from Laura's perspective, I realized that I did not want to leave Bill out in the cold. We don't get his point of view enough. He (and his handbook) deserved some love and attention! I'm glad you enjoyed it.

This is beautiful. As always, you capture the nuances of their relationship so perfectly. And I love the originality of the twist.

Now, how about a deleted scene where we get to see Bill ask Cottle for the book? ;)

And thanks for the feedback. I was originally going to write an angsty Daybreak fic with this prompt, and then I just did not want to go there. So had to get creative! Glad it worked.
