lol. Nirvana were made to do a similar thing for a UK show called "Top of the Pops" once, and they purposely played their instruments all wrong and at one point stopped singing to show it was all a lie.

It's awesome in the sense that if you knew what instruments and roles they usually played in the band :) Otherwise, it's just them having fun ^_^

Clearly they even rehearsed this because not only are they playing different instruments... they're playing it quite well.
