[When the tricorder picks up life signs, Don follows them eagerly - until the increasingly-precise readings make it clear that these are not reptilian life signs.]

[Dispirited, not really wanting to see anyone who isn't his brother, he almost veers away from the impending encounter. He's a beat away from a ninja-vanish when he sighs and resumes his original course. It's New Feather time, and Raphael won't be the only one in the woods who could use some help.]

[In a moment, the underbrush rustles, and out comes... something. Don sticks the beeping tricorder in his belt and tries to look friendly.]

[And the Echidna is instantly on guard when he heard the rustling of someone coming closer. The turtle is a bit taller than the average mobian, but that wasn't too odd. Not as odd as waking up in an unfamiliar woods wearing unfamiliar clothes anyway. At least the trousers were easily removed and tossed aside. Now he just had to find away out of the woods...]

[..of course that doesn't mean he's going to tell the first person he runs into that he's lost, especially when they're wearing a mask.]

Let me guess. You just woke up in a place you've never seen before. You were wearing something that isn't yours and you found a book with your name on it.

[It occurs to him that this might sound a little creepy.]

Luceti? Never heard of it. [And at that last part the frown deepens.] What's to stop me leaving now?

[You know apart from not being able to glide right any more and needing to get rid of these stupid wing-thing's on his back]

[He makes a gesture in all directions.] An impenetrable barrier surrounding the village. You're welcome to go look, but nothing anyone tries has any effect on it.

Impenetrable Barrier? [That would be a problem.] I think I will check it out...

But first, can you tell me where these wings came from?
[Knuckles jerks his thumb at the new white appendages as they flutter and bump against his quills.] That happen to everyone too?

[He nods, turning just enough that you can see his own purple wings folded against his shell.] You need them. They stop hurting after a few days.

Need them? What in the world do we need them for? What, who put them there? The same person who made the barrier?
[Yeah, Knuckles doesn't like anything he's heard so far and he's starting to get frustrated.]
