Okay, so! Shawn is not a psychic. He does, however, have a photographic memory and mad observation and deduction skills. This means he can-- possibly-- tell a lot about your character just by looking at them. Obviously, there is a godmod line that could be crossed here. I don't want to do that! But I also don't want to tone down Shawn's ridiculously hilarious psychic gimmick too much because that'd be bad too. SO.
What can you tell me about your characters that Shawn might notice on first glance?
Do they work around cars a lot, and therefore, smell of motor oil/perhaps have a few grease stains or something? Are they a baker, as to be noted by the faint traces of flour on their sleeves? Is there a tremor in their voice that could hint to nervousness from recent boat-related trauma? Scars, markings, accents, so on? Obviously, some of these things could change from meeting to meeting! So while I don't want to ask you guys for extra work, if you point out stuff like that in action tags or whatever, that'd be super dandy if you want! If you'd rather not, then Shawn won't do his psychic mojo thing, which is cool too. That's what a permission post is for!
He obviously won't whip out these deductive abilities just for nothing. He might do it to prove he's a psychic, or he might do it to have fun, or he might do it if your character really interests him, so on and so forth.
