This is an alternate ending to the episode where Rachel gets a crush on Mr. Schue. My first fanfic ever, go easy on me =)
Naturally, he told her to sit in the back.
What was she thinking? There could never be anything between them. She was a student. He was a teacher. It was... inappropriate.
Will turned around to make sure she'd buckled up, and was surprised at what he saw. He found himself in awe of her beauty; the way the light through the car window reflected off her perfect, smooth, tan skin... The way her dark hair complimented her wide, hopeful eyes... How her shirt showed just enough cleavage and yet she still didn't look trashy...
He caught himself staring and averted his eyes, only to meet hers. He saw the colour flood to her cheeks as she looked away shyly, trying not to smile.
"Rachel, I'm sorry. You don't have to sit in the back. I don't want to make you feel like a child." He said, finally.
But she is one, he reminded himself for the millionth time.
"Are you sure?" She asked, with a hopeful smile.
"Yeah," he said, less confident than before. She grinned, undid her seat belt, and relocated to the seat next to her teacher. As she sat down her skirt exposed a bit too much thigh. Once again, she caught him staring, but she didn't do anything about it. She liked the attention.
They both reached for the radio dial and their fingertips brushed lightly. It was so cliche but he got goosebumps. He felt like a teenager again, and it worried him. Where is this coming from?
"Sorry" she whispered. He watched her lips as they moved, and couldn't help but wonder how they would feel...
He cleared his throat. "Let's get you home." What is happening?
She smiled a half-smile and looked out the window. "Your wife is nice" she remarked, after a few moments.
"Hm..." he grumbled, not really focusing on what she said at first. Is she testing me?
"I mean...yes, yes she is." He added, but it wasn't enough. "I love her." He continued, hoping it would set things straight, and he looked for her reaction. He could tell she wasn't convinced. Neither was he.

The next time he saw her, she ignored him. It was weird. She'd been paying constant attention to him ever since they sang "Endless Love" together. At first he was glad. Or, at least that's what he told himself. She was over him, and they could both forget the whole thing.
That was, until he found himself staring at her for the third time since rehearsal began. He couldn't help it, she naturally stood out, no matter where she was. It wasn't even the clothes. It was everything about her, her confidence in her voice, her insecurity about everything else, (which he understood, given her circumstances, but wanted to change nonetheless), her natural beauty, her legs...her butt...
Make that the fourth time. He called rehearsal short before anyone noticed.
He finally made eye contact with Rachel as she walked out the door. The disappointment he felt when she didn't say anything scared him at first. However, after thinking about it nonstop afterward, he discovered he was really just angry. It was her fault he felt this way in the first place. How could she change her mind so quickly? If anything, he'd led her on in the car that night. It wasn't fair for her to leave him like this.

It was late, almost 2am. Terri had fallen asleep after downing a couple pills at around 10:30, but not before complaining he'd pretty much ignored her all night. Will had joined her in bed soon after, but although he was exhausted, he couldn't sleep. His mind kept wandering to her.. things she'd said, things he wished she'd said, and above all, different scenarios (or were they fantasies?) involving her. He wasn't quite dreaming, because every once in a while he would hear Terri snore and lose his train of thought.
Next thing he knew, he heard a soft tap against his window, followed by another. He slowly got out of bed, careful not to wake his wife, and drew the curtains to see Rachel on the ground below, a handful of pebbles. Within seconds he was outside, his lips against hers. She pushed him up against the wall and he ran his fingers desperately through her hair, kissing her neck, her collarbone.
"You ignored me today." He remarked, already short of breath.
"Wanted to make you sweat," She replied between forceful kisses and a moan, on his part. He'd never expected anything like this from Rachel Berry.
"It worked" he said, and she smiled deviously. His hands found the buttons on her cardigan and it was off immediately.
He was vaguely aware that they were in public. Well, an alley beside his building, but still. He looked around to see if anyone was there, but she pulled him back in immediately and the thought was long gone. He pulled her shirt over her head to expose a lacy, red bra and a body he couldn't imagine being more perfect.
Then he woke up.
Fuck.
