Just curious but do you know if the book is based on a true story? I haven't read it but from the blurb on the back and your review it sounds like something I've heard before...

From the Author's Note or something or another from the back of the book it seems it's just loosely based on true events from the ACTUAL Renmann hall where it took place. Amy researched the trend of women leaving their babies in dumpsters and such and studied girls in the Renmann Hall correction facility. Other than that I'm not too sure how true it is. Hope that helped!
