We're good consumers

We just bought Rock Band for PS3. We don't even have a PS3 yet, but were just so amazed that they actually had a copy, given that it's sold out most places, and is being sold on craigslist and eBay at ridiculous markups ( Read more... )

I *know* that I'm gonna get RB. The question is just "for which system?" I mean, I've got *BOTH*. This is the first game (because it's primarily social) that has me hemming and hawing..

I dunno. Which one has more song packs available for it? Or are they both pretty much the same in that respect?

Once I get a PS3 and can actually *play* it I'll tell you how it is. I did play the xbox version in the store, so I have *some* basis for comparison.

I like PS3's Japanese 「まいにちいっしょ」game... In fact, that's about all I use PS3 for *_*

I have the 80gb version because I couldn't find the 60gb version anywhere around here either. I don't know if this is reassuring or not, but since I've gotten it, I haven't actually played a PS2 game. I mean, I put in FFX to make sure it worked, but since then it's been all PS3 content. I suspect you'll come to the same realization, after you've had yours for a while.

On the other hand, it's extremely annoying to my subconscious that I'll never be able to play any of the PS2 Ratchet and Clank games.. but hey, it's not like I'd ever have time for them anyways.

Hope that helps you rationalize it away when you're plunking down the big bucks for a gimped system that comes with a game you'll never use. ;)

Well, I finally did find a 60 GB for $400. So far it works great. I actually still have *lots* of PS2 games in my stack of stuff to play, so I'll be using it plenty for that. I tried FFXII on it, and it was noticeably improved.
