Playa hatas

Sep 30, 2006 00:11

Would someone please care to explain to me why Clinton is such a bogeyman to much of the Right. Now, I'm not completely ignorant when it comes to this, and I have plenty of my own theories and insights. But before I post my rant about this, I'd like to see what other people think.

politics, clinton, asshats

...I'm not quite sure, myself.

Guess they just needed someone to blame their problems on. Whatever issues they had with him was six years ago, why are they still stuck on it? (which is what I really want to know ;_;)

They're still stuck on it because they're embarassed that Clinton, even at the hight of Monicagate, still had a higher approval rating than their guy has had all year. And in spite of technically being a Democrat, he was a far better conservative than most of them could dream of being. They don't quite know how to process that or admit to it, so they just keep attacking him like frightened animals.

yeah thats why its a not really. its almost like their little plan is backfiring on them. they're trying to peg a bunch of their fuck ups on him, because its only logical as a opposition/last president, but any time he'd open their mouth or people look into it a lil further, its just them trying to cover their asses.

your frightened animals comment makes much sense, i think.

Oh, Gods, I'm a geek...

My first thought upon reading the title of this entry was, 'Okay, I know what a playa is, but wtf does hatas mean?'

I usually just think of "playa" as the Spanish word for "beach", which always makes me giggle when I see it used in the way I just used it.

Perhaps it's because they need an "enemy"? As many others here have pointed out, they want someone to pin some of the blame to. However, whenever they try to do the pinning they just end up tripping over their own tongues and looking worst than they originally did.

Imagine a monkey trying to pin banana theft on a human and you get the basic idea. Pointing and screeching will only get you so far. ^-^

He was my favorite president and ran the country well. Who gives a fuck if he got some head on the side? Doesn't everyone?

If Hilary went in the next election, she'd get my vote in an instant. Anything to get the Bushs out and the Clintons back in.

Ugh...Hilary Clinton is a Republican in sheep's clothing. I suppose I'd probably vote for her over John McCain, but only barely... Just because it would also have the effect of putting Bubba back in the White House.

Hilary Clinton is extremely intelligent, but I don't see her as making a good president, especially not at this point in the nation's history. She'd be much more effective as, say, Senate Majority Leader. Some have theorized that that's her actual goal, and if so that would be smart of her.
