HUH?

IF you don't feel like reading the article, McCain blames Obama's camp for the failure for the bailout bill to pass.

However, and I quote:

A majority of House Democrats supported the proposal and the majority of House Republicans opposed it. A total of 133 House Republicans voted against it, with 95 Democrats opposing the plan.

I disagree.

Blame lies on both sides of the aisle. Explain to me how almost 100 Democrates voted against this measure and it is the Republicans fault that it didn't pass? Especially when the Democrats have the majority, yet Pelosi allowed 5 comittee chairs, whose positions were given to them by Pelosi, to vote no. Pelosi also gave a pass to 16 dems in tight election races who feared that oking it would hurt their incumbancy. And yes, Pelosi has should have the influence in her position to get the people in her party to side with the DNCs stance on this.

Or how about the Congressional Progressive Caucus’s letter to Pelosi saying they would vote for the bailout essentially if it nationalizes America’s financial system ( ... )

These are fair points, yes. I totally agree that blame lays on both sides of the aisle. Honestly, I don't know enough about the higher levels of the financial world to know whether this $700 Billion buyout/bailout/whatever is even a good idea. I've tried to listen to and read a lot of opinions from professionals, but they all seem to be politically slanted one way or the other ( ... )
