There has been many occasions where my dad has given me the most wonderful advice, but the one that came up to my mind first was this

Thank you! Although I'm not as close to my father as I am with my mother, it's him who always knows what to say to me.
On the other hand, my mother, who hears (mostly) everything that goes on in my life, is the one that I get into fights with most of time. Quite ironic, right?

Well, when you're with someone more it's natural to fight more often because you have more exposure to them and you feel more relaxed to talk about what you truly think about. XD
