Life as a temp at Coke is actually pretty fun. I'm busy as a blue-arsed fly when they're making alcohol, but it's not overly stressful (I'm appreciating that contrast to my previous couple of jobs). When they're not making alcohol, like last night, there's not a great deal to do

The sensible Sonata (you can option the nuts out of it; the 2L TDi would be pretty frugal for $30K)
The jolly Jetta; A bit of reliable VW and I can vouch that the 2L TDi has more grunt than you probably suspect. The 2.0L FSI is pretty insane. More style points than the Sonata, but you'll be up for $35-$39K if you go the full fruit on a new car. You could also try scoring a second-hand Passat - like my old one, except better!
The Pussylicious Punto, or better yet, the Ribald Ritmo. The 1.9JTD sport would be your kind of ride, I reckon, but I guess it is a hatchback. We'll take one for a spin in Brisbane. It is Italian, so you have to love its foibles, like any fine woman ( ... )

Yes, I do like my AWD cars. My Galant was a beautiful car, and faster than I gave it credit for.
One thing I'm going to have to be careful of is with a low car I have to be careful about large bumps and steep driveways, and I can't do illegal U-turns over median strips as I currently do in the Pathfinder.
NB - I think I've only ever banged one girl in a car... it was the Commodore of all the choices of stylish rides. Ah, good times.
As far as I'm concerned, cars are for driving you both home so you can nail the girl on the couch, or coffee table, kitchen bench, shower or even (god forbid) bed.
