Well, I dunno. Depends on if it's torturous, like in The Road where they find a guy still alive with his legs cut off at the hip and burnt to keep him alive.

Pretty sure he'd have died of shock. Bodies tend to just shut down when taking lots of hurt like that

I imagine being eaten wouldn't last nearly as long as the radiation death. Still, kind of shitty way to go out.
