This is an interesting story . . . we get Duncan's side of things, and then after it's all said and done, there's no Big Bad Guy for Veronica to blame at all, since it was a chain of events set off by different people, and it leaves her with this feeling of emptiness as she kind of realizes that solving the puzzle won't fix everything else that's wrong in her life.
I have a fan on my flist who believes that initially, Logan was supposed to be more involved in the rape, but then he tested really high with the viewers, so they changed that to make him even more likeable. Did you ever hear anything like that?
I really enjoyed this. We don't often see Veronica vulnerable, and I even found Duncan enjoyable in the way you wrote him.
