Great chapter! I love how you write about Cassidy, even though a part of me wants him to be happy.

It's my firm belief that Cassidy never wanted to hurt Mac. That night on the roof, he took her clothes so she couldn't follow him. I think despite everything, she might have been the only person who could have kept him from jumping. Maybe he knew that.

Yeah, I think so too. Despite everything, I reckon she was the one person he'd never purposely hurt.

Once again, I have to say that I love this. It's amazing how he sees himself as being in a war, but none of the other characters ever noticed.
