I like it, there aren't enough Duncan/Veronica fics out there. Question though, it's been bugging me since I read this sentence, where does 'the straw that broke the camel's back' come from? I know I've heard it somewhere before, but I can't remember.

Eh, it's just an old cliche. I don't know where it comes from, but it sort of refers to a sequence of bad things happening, and the 'straw' is the last (comparatively minor) bad thing that happens and pushes the subject of the bad things over the edge.

Hey there. Just in case you'd like to know i've discovered where I heard that sentence. It's just that everytime I read it, I kept hearing it like part of a song. I have since discovered which song it is. Here in Belgium there's a singer called Natalia and she sings a song 'what don't kill you makes you stronger' that's where i heard it. just thought i'd share, probably won't intrest you but I'm kind of bored so.
