Hmm. I'm in two minds about this. Your style is brilliant and it's a well thought out (and scary) scene, but I can't rectify it with canon.

Kurt's behaviour with Finn only seems to affirm the notion IMO that if Dave were to stop his violent, negative behaviour, and be good to him, Kurt would fall pretty hard and fast. Also, I think Kurt's just too strong to be afraid like this.

I never really get the impression that Kurt is scared of anything, just that he's upset about the injustice, bitter about the abuse, etc, but scared is never a vibe I get. Still, I liked this, it was an interesting take on the darkness this ship can have.

I really love this piece. It's a great foreshadow of what could happen. Now, it's Glee, so nothing like would ever happen, but it's still interesting to think about.

I have to admit to be a massive angst whore and although this isnt really angst, its deliciously darker than normal Glee fics. And I adore it.

I know Glee is meant to be all happy and sing-a-Song, but as Kurt shows, its not always 100% happy.

I can see this going through the mind of any normal real life kid like Kurt, why not Kurt himself?

I feel like you really got the current route of the Kurt/Karofsky dynamic pinned down so much that I hurt a lot for Kurt.

When I started becoming more interested in Kurtofsky because of the kiss in 2.06, I knew in the back of my mind that everything wasn't gonna be all sunshine and rainbows afterwards. Karofsky's gonna be confused, in pain, bitter, and most of all, prone to lashing out at the source of it all, Kurt. We've seen a little of that in 2.07. This fic just fleshes out that reality better (and much more painfully). Karofsky's problems aside, can anyone be in Kurt's shoes and not feel a little disturbed and scared about all the implications behind the actions of your formerly one-note bully?

Aww. Thanks. I agree on Karofsky - as sorry as we may feel for him, there are issues there that could lead to major, major bad. Kurt is sort of the target of them, and panics like you may expect.
