Prologue Chapter 1 Chapter 2 Chapter 3 Chapter 4 “Mori, Kiyoharu. By some miracle that I don’t even understand myself you’re being released…”
The smirk on the older man’s lips appearing as he stood in front of the judge who seemed confused as hell like the rest of the people in the court room. It had been six months and damn it had been a pain trying to shorten his sentencing on good behavior. Of course, Hakuei had helped him out when any rebels came into jail thinking they could own the damn place.
Six months too long it had been that he had been waiting patiently and he knew the moment he stepped out of the building he would either be coming back to jail after he finished business or going to the morgue, but he’d be damned to let Kirito and Atsushi get away with everything. Kiyoharu had made sure that no one knew of him getting out at least not anyone Yakuza related and that was a pain in the ass since people in jail had lips looser then a whore’s.
“Mori.”
Attention being drawn back to the judge as eyes lazily glanced up at the judge and hiding the smirk as he pulled at his handcuffs waiting to be freed. “Don’t think you’re escaping so easily, Mori. You will be on probation for five years. You slip up once and it’s back to jail without a court hearing for life. You understand that, Mori?”
“Clear as day.”
~~~
A few hours passing and he was finally exiting the building and narrowing his eyes as soon as the sun hit him in the face and it took a few moments for him to adjust being outside after sitting in the waiting cell all morning. He was back in the clothes he had first came in and it was the only damn thing he owned at the moment until he went to collect his shit and find somewhere else to live. Eyes lazily glancing around before he felt eyes on him and looking down to see J leaning against the car with hands tucked in his pocket and sunglasses covering his face waiting for the older man.
Kiyoharu narrowing his own eyes in annoyance and stuffing his hands in his pocket as he walked down to the last of the step looking around for a moment before back at J. “What the hell are you doing here? I’m pretty sure I made this stay behind closed doors I was getting let out.”
The younger man leaning off the car and pulling his hands out of his pocket and he didn’t even try to go and hug the other as friends would do because he knew Kiyoharu was still pissed at him for not doing anything about his parents. A part of him couldn’t blame Kiyoharu, but another part of him wished the older man would forgive him for something he had no control over. Taking a deep breath and scuffing the tip of his shoe against the concrete. “The boss said to come pick you up. He misses his right hand man.”
“Tch.” Kiyoharu moving his hands out of his pockets and before he could even get a damn word out at J to express how much hate he held for Atsushi a voice broke through the air and it was the last damn person he wanted to hear yelling his name.
“Mori. Don’t think you are going far. “ The small blonde cop coming down the steps and grabbing Kiyoharu’s arm to turn the older man around to face him and eyebrows furrowed at him. “You are to be watched at all times and I’ll be damned if you get in that car with him.” The smaller man pointing over to J with a look of disgust etched on his face before turning his attention back to the older Yakuza and crossing his arms over his chest in a childish way. “Besides, where the hell do you plan to stay at?”
“A hotel for now.”
“Like hell you are. I have to keep tabs on your sorry ass, so a place has already been arranged for you. Start walking Mori if you don’t want me to arrest you right here and throw your ass back in jail for loitering.”
Eyebrow rose at Riku with almost a daring look in his eye and scoffing at him. “You’re fucking serious aren’t you? Wherever the hell I’m staying I hope it has sound proof walls for the neighbor’s sake because your voice is damn annoying.” Hands still in his pocket and Kiyoharu eyed J who was confused at the blonde cop bossing Kiyoharu around. “We’ll talk later, Jun. Don’t come to find me. I’ll find you.”
Heading down the street and already regretting his company as Riku followed after him and he could tell how eager Riku looked waiting for him to make one wrong move so he could put his ass back in jail. He had no damn idea where he was heading, but he didn’t say a word as he was lead into an apartment complex and up the steps before Riku unlocked the door to reveal the middle class apartment.
Carefully the older man stepped inside taking in his surroundings before he kicked off his shoes and moved to the kitchen already making himself at home. “Now I see where all the damn tax money goes. I’m glad to know the money is being spent on me.”
Riku narrowing his eyes at how comfortable Kiyoharu had made himself within a matter of minutes and only closed the door as he sat down the small bag of the older man’s belongings that he had entered jail months back with. “Shut up. Kisaki said to make sure you did not get out of our eyesight and I’m going to make sure of that.” Eyes turning to see Kiyoharu with a soda in his hand as he made his way into the kitchen with the older man and pulling the duffel bag off the counter as he threw it at the older man as hard as he could and smiling when he heard the air knocked out of the other. “We even provided you with some clothes. Your ass better be thankful for this shit.”
Kiyoharu setting his drink down on the counter and letting the duffel bag drop to the floor as he pulled his shirt off and bought it to his nose to smell and immediately turned his nose up at the smell. “Damn, couldn’t you put a damn air freshener in the storage room so it doesn’t smell like jail.”
“If you didn’t do illegal shit then you wouldn’t have to worry about that stench, now would you?”
“Touché.” A small smirk gracing his lips as he tossed the shirt into the trash can and grabbed the duffel bag heading down the hallway to try to get the damn prison smell off of him and leaving the blonde to let himself out any time.
The smaller blonde glancing down the hallway to see Kiyoharu had found the bathroom as he grabbed his laptop off the table and moved to the living room and immediately pulling up Kiyoharu’s file as tired eyes looked over the screen. Why did he of all people have to keep tabs on the bastard? The damn bastard should have gotten a death penalty and he wouldn’t have to be worrying about this situation and moving onto the next big Yakuza member. He better get a raise after this.
Riku tensing for a moment when he felt someone standing over his shoulder and slowly turning his head to see Kiyoharu standing shirtless in fron of him and reading over his own file as Riku’s own eyes narrowed in annoyance. “Can I help you, Mori?” Quick to slam the laptop shut to keep Kiyoharu from reading any more even though he had every right to reading his own personal file, but what the criminal didn’t know wouldn’t hurt him.
“Yeah, where the hell am I sleeping? There is only one bedroom and it looks like someone already lives there?” Eyebrow rose in confusion as he let his hands rest on the back of the sofa standing over Riku from behind and watching the blonde place the laptop on the couch and turning in the couch to face the other on his knees. “You already went in my damn room? You bastard!”
“You’re room?” The devilish smirk tugging at the corner of his lips and moving closer to face Riku as fingers cupped the blonde’s chin and tilted Riku’s head back to look up at him. “Is this your way of getting me to fuck you? By letting a criminal stay at your place? You seem pretty desperate for a fuck there, blondie.” Leaning closer so his lips were only a few inches away and before he could even tease the blonde cop even more he felt the fist slam into his jaw causing him to jerk away and rub at the tender spot of skin. Kiyoharu narrowing his eyes for a moment before the smile was back on his face at seeing the blonde looking flustered.
“No, you fucking pervert. You sleep on the couch! And besides no one wanted to waste their tax money on giving you a place to stay, so-shut up!” Real smooth, Riku. He was being completely mature about this, but when Riku had to deal with such an asshole like Kiyoharu who was way too cocky for his own good he couldn’t help, but lose his temper.
“You don’t have to deny being a closet homo cop. Now a day’s people are pretty accepting of that.” Eyes lazily watching Riku grab his laptop and stomp off down the hallway to his bedroom. The older man smirking to himself as he stretched out on the couch more amused than anything else. This sure the hell was going to be an interesting few months staying here with a psycho cop, but at least he would have someone to bug the hell out of.
The older man turning on his stomach to grab the phone of the table stand and he knew the phones were tapped since he was staying here, but it wouldn’t stop him from talking. He knew how to keep things simple to where only the listener would know what he is talking about. Fingers moving over the digits and dialing J’s number and when J had picked up he didn’t even allow the man to talk first. “This is your last chance, Jun. Either you are with me or you’re with them. I thought our friendship ran deeper than the Yakuza.”
The man on the other end staying quiet, but Kiyoharu knew he was still listening. He could hear the younger man breathing on the other end. “You’ve got a choice, Jun. Either you help me take care of them or I’ll take care of you when I get to them.”
“Kiyo-“
“No. You don’t get a damn say in this Jun. You only have two choices.”
“Give me some time to thi-“
Kiyoharu growing annoyed and hanging up the phone giving Jun the answer, but he would give the younger man forty eight hours to think everything over after that he was cutting ties. Eyes glancing down at the phone in his hand and smirking to himself before he leaned over the couch and shouting down the hallway at the blonde that had himself locked in the room. “I know they’re tapped, blondie. I’m not a damn idiot.” The older man laughing to himself when he heard the blonde yell in annoyance.
“Fuck you Mori!”
“I rather fuck you.” Kiyoharu staring down the hallway before he heard something hit the door and he only shook his head as he moved to lie back down on the couch. How the hell could Riku be a cop with such a short damn temper? Closing his eyes and stretching back out on the couch as he tossed the phone onto the coffee table in front of him. A few minutes passing before he could hear a door opening and feet shuffling against the wooden floor before he felt a presence in front of him. Slowly opening his eyes to see Riku sitting on the coffee table with his leg s crossed and his arms crossed over his chest.
“What were you talking about on the phone, Mori?”
“Nothing at all. Just catching up with an old friend.”
Riku frowning and he knew damn well the other wasn’t talking to an old friend. Who the hell hung on friends or threatened them? The older Yakuza must have taken him for an idiot if he was going to accept that answer give in. His eyes sharply watching Kiyoharu stretching out on the couch and realizing the older man had yet to put a shirt on. Riku’s eyes carefully following the patterns of the tattoo’s on Kiyoharu’s arm and looking them over curiously trying to figure out what made a man get tattoo’s like the one’s he had. It was a traditional sleeve, but most Yakuza in Kiyoharu’s ranking and age had a full body tattoo and yet Kiyoharu kept it simple. Eyes moving over Kiyoharu’s chest and seeing the butterfly that seemed so out of place, but at the same time fit the older man.
“Do you enjoy looking at me that much?”
“Shut up. I was just admiring your tattoos!”
“My tattoo’s don’t go that low, Riku.”
Riku’s face growing red in embarrassment and the one thing he knew to do when Kiyoharu pissed him off was to hit the damn bastard, but before he could connect his fist with Kiyoharu the older man had stopped the punch and pulled him on top of him.
Riku struggling as Kiyoharu leaned up on his elbows with an amused look on his face. “I don’t know why you deny it Riku.”
“Deny what? There is nothing to deny! You’re just full of yourself, Mori.”
Kiyoharu smirking and pulling Riku down by the collar his lips only a few inches away as eyes lazily looked up into Riku’s. “I think you’re just afraid you might like it.”
Riku’s eyes growing wide and he started to pull away, but the man’s grip around the collar of his shirt was holding him down. “Or you’re so full of yourself and make up things to make yourself feel better. What? Didn’t get the attention as a child, Mori?”
Kiyoharu simply shaking his head and running his free hand up Riku’s inner thigh and grabbing the blonde through his pants and feeling Riku push into his hand as he heard the smaller blonde moan. Kiyoharu not even allowing the chance for Riku to say a word as lips pressed against Riku’s and pushed his tongue past pierced lips hearing the small blonde whimper in frustration.
Breaking the kiss to give the flustered blonde a chance to breath as he began to kiss down his neck and once Riku felt the teeth scraping against his neck he snapped out of his daze punching Kiyoharu in the jaw and moving off of him. The blonde quickly used the back of his sleeve to wipe his lips from the kiss and raising his leg to kick the older man in anger that the older man had done such a vile thing to him. “Don’t ever do that again! You fucking pervert!” Riku out of breath and flustered as fixed his shirt and rubbed at his neck trying to get the feel of Kiyoharu’s lips off of him even though the man wasn’t touching him anymore. “Touch me again and I’ll murder you.” And without another word or wanting to look at Kiyoharu he stomped down the hallway leaving Kiyoharu to himself.
“Well, it looks like I’ll have some fun with this.” A smirk on his lips as he pulled the pillow under his head and the blanket from off the top of the couch over him as eyes closed. At least he’d have some fun during the process of going after Atsushi and Kirito.
