disturbed
i was disturbed by a clearly disturbed young man while at central park in schenectady. the kids were playing in the little kid fenced in area and i was sitting on a bench when i heard a kid crying on a swing. it took me a bit to figure out what was going on but eventually i observed that the kid did not want to be on the swing. the boy was

the only good thing to come out of this whole ugly episode is that v1.7 is now completely interested in muslims. she check a bunch of books on islam out of the library and has started taking notes on the things she's learning. she even gave us a report at the dinner table tonight. i love that my kids don't have homework assigned from school to waste their time and interests. otherwise she wouldn't be as excited or able to learn so much!
