So, the final numbers are out. Surprisingly Grimm was adjusted up a little and pulled 5.30 million viewers in front of their TVs for the season opener which is still a 1.5. Saying that the premiere had gained some viewers back, 15 % grown to season 3's finale to tell the truth ( Read more... )

Well, if they go through with what it seems to be at the end of 4x01 I can assure you the ratings will drop a lot.

You mean Reanrd's death? Well, what I can tell you is that Sasha wasn't in Portland for WEEKS while Toboni is still on set. Actually I don't think they killed Renard, not after the rumours about Eric's resurrection during the season finale, but I think they've reduced his time on-screen a lot in favour of Toboni's Trubel. And after the fan-reactions all over the net I am pretty sure this is a very wrong decision which could cost them the fifth season and the syndication. There's only a little group of fans liking Trubel but Renard is a favourite all over the place. Seriously, I've no idea what has bitten the writers not to see this coming. But now they are in trouble because the episodes produced are up to 4.09, scripts are approved to the midseason. They cannot change the route anymore, not after such a long production time without reshooting a lot - and that won't happen.

If they make Sean "unimportant" now, that will hurt them even more than it already has. I know a TON of people who would stop watching if Sean wasn't a part of the show anymore, and it definitely looks pretty bad for him. I mean, they already called "Time of death", so I don't see how there can be any "miracle recovery" at all, since they said all episode that he wouldn't survive because his organs would be shutting down, even though he was alive after the surgery...

So if they go on without Sean, well... they go on without a LOT of people - including me!

His "pictures" in the opening credits are practically non existent too, and that was the one thing I noticed first during them. That Sean was there like for a second and completely able to cut him out if necessary...

Shipper, believe me, the writers don't care about the fandom, especially not the old fanbase which grew since day 1. They are only interested in those little mindless minions they can send out on witchhunts to every fan with a brain. And I think it's ridiculous that this group is calling themselves "real Grimmsters" (and yes, I've learned my lesson with those idiots, actually I was the first one they tried to tar and feather ( ... )
