Syndication Rights for Grimm

Unless NBC decides otherwise Grimm will be close to syndication after season 4 with 88 episodes. Syndication in US starts with 100 episodes. So it was time for the netowrks to pick the rights. In Grimm's case ... TNT made it *sorry for you, guys!*

TNT is a great channel with many good shows I'm watching, so I guess this is good news :)

I wasn't refering to TNT as a bad network. I feel more sorry for them that they dumbed their money on this rights. So far Grimm IS ONLY CLOSE to syndication. If season 4 will fail TNT will loose a lot of money.

Yeah, I know... I hope it works out for TNT. Nowadays there are very few shows that make it THAT far, although there are shows out there that just had or are soon having their 200th episode. So I think 100 and 200 are huge milestones, and I haven't had THAT many shows that reached the 100...

(I just had to think that Rizzoli & Isles should be close to their 100 episode as well since they are in Season 5 by now... Although they don't have 22 episodes each season, only 16 to 18)

That's true, but usually shows don't tend to be on the path to selfdestruct - at least not within the first three or four seasons. Grimm lost a lot of its audience during season 3, the long hiatus can hurt as well as the poor decisions they have made during the backhalf of season 3 (including bringing in this massmurder-kiddo Trubel). Grimm lost 2 million viewer within six episodes at the end of the season, and NBC isn't that hesitantly when it comes to cancellation. If the numbers don't stabilize I don't see a fifth season (and with that the syndication).
