Mit besten Dank an bm_shipper die mich darauf aufmerksam gemacht hat. Parkland wird hierzulande als DirecttoTV-Film gehandelt, kommt also nicht ohne weiteres in die Kinos (Ausnahmen bestaetigen die Regel *hust*). Dafuer haben dann alle Grimmster, die daran interessiert sind, die Chance, diesen wirklich sehr gut gemachten Film im FreeTV zu sehen am 22.11. um ( Read more... )

I'll definitely watch this ♥ Especially after everything you told me about this movie. It sounds completely awesome and I really am looking forward to this... and there are quite some actors in it I really like, like Colin Hanks :)

You definitely should, it's really a good movie. I really don't understand why it's not on the theatres over here. In UK and France it is. Weird!

Maybe because it's actually the death day of JFK and so it kind of "fits"? I don't really know either, though... Just guessing here, since obviously on this day there are at least 3 other movies about JFK airing!

JFK's death was confirmed an hour after he was shot, and that was both around noon or early afternoon US. It were pretty busy 3 days in November back then with the assassination of JFK, the manhunt for Oswald, until Oswald was shot to death by Ruby.
The best scenes of the movie, I think, are about what happened after the confirmation of JFK's death until the AirForceOne starts back to DC. Landesman has caught perfectly the chaos and the disbelief everyone must have felt back then.

Die Beschreibung klingt wirklich interessant. Schade, dass ich zu der Zeit noch nicht wohlbehütet in meinem Zimmer sitzen kann, sondern noch unterwegs bin. Aber ich werde ihn mir dann wohl mal aufnehmen und zu einem anderen Zeitpunkt in Ruhe anschauen ;)

Wird Samstag wiederholt, falls das weiterhilft. Und ja, der Film IST sehr interessant. Wie gesagt, dank eines guten alten Freundes hatte ich die Moeglichkeit, ihn auf der Leinwand zu sehen in einer Privatvorstellung. Das war wirklich ein Erlebnis!
