Gacked from ashavah and prettyannamoon

Yeah, it’s another one of those guess the lyrics memes. What can I say? I like this game. :D

I have too much weird stuff in my complete library, so I used a playlist of about 90 favorites instead. Um…if a lot of these sound weird and unfamiliar, it’s probably because you don’t listen to much Tori Amos. ;)

I actually know one! #30: "Into the West" from "Return of the King"

Full Moon sounds interesting.

Correct!

Full Moon is great, but it hasn't been released in Engligh yet. I've been watching fansubs, but unfortunately the subtitling on about half the episodes is really poor quality. I'm really looking forward to reading the manga, which I'm borrowing from a friend, because I hope it will clear up some things in the anime that I completely did not get because the subtitles were either nonsensical or missing completely in some scenes.

16 Foolish Games, Jewel
23 Like a Prayer, Madonna
30 Into the West, Annie Lennox

I could sing all the words to 24, but I don't know the title, and am not sure who it's by. >

3. Jars of Clay: Worlds apart

and I knew 16, but it's taken...

24. really seemed like "Your Praise goes on", by Chris Rice. It's not, but it still seems very familiar. I'm sure I know it... sigh.

#24 is very well known, but it's secular. Definitely not by Chris Rice. :)

Heh. Well, not that many people have had a chance to guess yet. But yes, you are right. The name of the song is "Edge of Seventeen", btw.

You're right on 2, 7, and 22, of course!

You also should definitely know 5, as well as 12, and could probably figure them out if you pondered it a little longer. They're both on a CD that you introduced me to.

You could probably also get 20, 26, and maybe 29. If you want to try again, that is.

well, i cheated on #20 (so i won't guess on that one). i knew i'd heard it, but i didn't know where. i've heard it on the radio and LOVE the song but don't have the CD. i think i may now know the artist for #5 & #12, but it's been ages since i listened to that CD. i'll have to listen to it tonight. :) #29 sounded familiar as well, but i can't place it.

okay. i listened to the CD last night (and determinedly did NOT look at the lyrics).

5. is "Bury the Dead" by Wedding Party.

12. is also by Wedding Party, though I can't remember the name of the song. It's like track #6 or 7 or something, though.

I reckon you had to push me to try them again as I'm probably the only one who would know them besides you. :)
