Man, I hate those essays.

I hate them because every time I feel like I have something "metaish" to say about fandom, some pithy observation of overriding principle, I realize that Angua basically already said it. >:(

Seriously, about 98.3% of fannish behavior can be explained by something in one of those essays. If I were teaching Fandom 101, I'd just assign them as reading on day one and spend the rest of the semester surfing for cat macros.

Ah, you are going through the "Simpson's Did it Syndrome", This will help you get through it mate ;) as I recall, you have very insightful meta on Fandom and other things, I'd hate for you to not make posts or such just cuz The Dark Lord has done some posts on stuffs :D
