I just heard two great speeches. I was getting a bit impatient for Obama's, but it was worth waiting for.

"I will listen to you, especially when we disagree."

I'm going to hold you to that, Mr. President.

Yes, I thought they were both very gracious speeches, and both very serious about the work we have to do to face the challenges before us.

I was going to post about how impressed I was with McCain's speech and how hopeful I am about Obama's speech. I do hope that he crosses party lines and DOES work together with McCain and other Republicans as he said he will. I also feel...proud? humbled?...something to be here at this time for this historic election. We were a part of the election that ushered in the first minority president ever in our country. That's pretty awesome.

That pic's not entirely accurate. Some of the previous presidents DIDN'T have white hair. ;)

I didn't realize though that a couple of your previous presidents had a resemblance to Colonel Sanders! heh
