Bible quiz

I thought most of the questions were kind of silly, since the only remontely logical choice was the correct one (Donald Trump, Don Knotts, and Donald Duck? Come on.) I would say only about 10% of the questions would actually make anyone stop and think, but perhaps I underestimate people's ability to confuse pop culture figures with Biblical figures ( Read more... )

And only one question made me stop and think (gold star if you can guess which one. :P)

Any question where the choice is Jehosophat?

Still, I'm shocked! Shocked I tell you to see that you got a perfect score on a Bible Quiz! :P

Nope, Jehosophat was not a factor in the one that gave me pause.

Still, I'm shocked! Shocked I tell you to see that you got a perfect score on a Bible Quiz!

I know. Hard to believe, isn't it? ;)

Even though Isaac was the only one listed who was Abraham's physical son, others are "sons of Abraham."

Ha! I didn't even think of that, actually. No, that wasn't the one that made me think.

I am sad to say a few of the questions made me think. I am not great at remembering the order of the books or who wrote what, but the quotes were ridiculously easy.

my guess on the one that made you think (only cause it's the only one I had to think about)... what was created on the 4th day--- since sun, moon, and stars seemed ealier than that to me. (i also got 100%)

"God made two great lights-the greater light to govern the educational institutions and the lesser light to govern pop culture. And He called the greater light 'Facebook' and the lesser light 'MySpace.'"

That's the only one that made my laugh out loud. :c)

No, not that one. If you'd heard my mom sing "Day four, day four, sun and moon and stars galore," as many times as I have, you wouldn't have stopped to think on that one, either. ;) I'm a little surprised no one has figured it out yet.

The question which made you pause might have been the very last. If you've read the whole bible but continue to actively read, then the proper choice is not obvious. (If one is reading 'a book at a time,' they are likely to make it through quickly and begin again.)

If it's one of the more substantial questions, my stab in the dark is the grandmother of David. I don't think it is likely, but it would be ironic. :c)

No, not either of those. I suppose I did briefly wonder if that last question would count, but I figured I might as well just answer honestly and see what happened.

And I definitely knew who David's grandmother was.

I figured. So much for irony and flailing of dimly-lit pointed thingies.

Could it be "Where was Paul when he wrote the book of Philippians?" My other guess would be "Who said he could die in peace, having seen the Christ child?" Those are a little obscure, but not terribly difficult to get if you stop and think for a minute. :) Those are two I had to stop and think about.

I got 100% too. :) It's nice to know I haven't lost it. Especially since I'm thinking about studying it in graduate school. ;)

Nope! Those were tougher questions, but I was pretty confident about my answers. *is really surprised no one has guessed it yet--could it be that everyone else really thought that question was easy?*
