What music do you guys tend to study/read school stuff to?

I tend to have gotten into the habit of putting Joanna Newsom's amazing 16+ minute piece Only Skin on repeat, though any really... soothing... not really... actively distracting music tends to do just fine? I like to put some quiet Loreena McKennitt or classical music. I have a CD called "Peaceful Classics" which has a mixture of classical music both traditional (Mozart, Mendelssohn) and modern (John Williams, Karl Jenkins).

Very nice.

Chopin, Trichovsky and random violin stuff. Basically ANYTHING CLASSICAL with no words. That is how I concentrate. I try to listen to violin stuff when I read Sherlock because, since he plays it, I want to be able to associate the two. I AM JUST RIDICULOUS, IS ALL.

I use the Genome Pandora project so that I don't come up with copies of the music when I study. IT'S REALLY USEFUL AND FREE. You also don't need to sign up until it asks you if you'd like to.

City and Colour, Zack Weber, The National, Interpol, Elliott Smith, the Lifescapes series from Target (songs from the Orient, Spring into Summer, Art of Concentration).

Lately I've found the rips from volume 1 of Heroes very comforting while I read.
