I honestly can't say if I believe in destiny or not. At some points in my life, I have, then things happened that make me doubt it and then more things happened that made me believe again...
Well now that's a curious question. If you can't consider the ends to be fate, can you consider the means to get to that end preordained? I'm not sure you could. I think...I think everyone arrives at their roles because of who they are. Now what shapes you as a person could be a lot of things. Either what family you were born into, how you were raised, things you've experienced or some strange higher power that someone puts their faith into. That question, what makes you as a person, is something I can't answer.
You couldn't. Fate, destiny, it's all got to do with whether we're in control of ourselves or not... I can't accept some sort of half-and-half compromise that people sometimes make when they can't make up their minds.
...I suppose... that I could agree with you, on the other topic. Of your situation determining your role, maybe...

...I wouldn't call being stuck here destiny, though.

...It kind of goes back and forth like that.

If there were such a thing as destiny, there'd be no reason to even try. Things would just work out.
I believe that everyone has a role to play in life, but where that role takes you is dependent on your actions, not anything preordained.

You're saying those roles aren't preordained, right?

You simply may not be able to see the full pattern yet.

You sound like it's an important thing to you, though?
