Missed opportunities

May 23, 2006 08:20

I set my alarm for 7 a.m. this morning to go to the gym. Well, for some reason I tossed and turned a lot turning the night and the alarm really didn't get me up until 7:30 and I was dragging ass getting things done before the gym. By the time I was ready to go, I calculated that I'd have less than a half hour to do anything once I got there and ( Read more... )

I've been like that in getting ready for work lately; seems all I wanna do is sleep.

*hugs* Don't let it get you down though. Just focus on getting a good night's sleep.

Wish I knew why I haven't been sleeping well. I do know that my dreams have been pretty fucked up tho I can't remember details, just impressions most of the time by the time I am actually awake.

Missing one day can't hurt...maybe you could get a bit of exercise by taking a walk at lunch?

I haven't been making it as often as I want to as it is. And I only get a half hour on lunch. Don't have much more time than for eating.

don't be so hard on yourself, get up tomorrow on time and work out. A week of skipping... yeah, that would prolly be a problem but one day is no biggie.

If it's really bugging you, think you can make yourself go even for a half hour after work today?

I'm not on a block. I'm back on a dead end road. Walking up and down a road just looks and feels stupid. And I'm in a second floor apartment so doing calesthenics and such is rude to the people downstairs. Really don't even use my DDR any more cuz of that. :( Wish I had a bigger place where I could have an exercize machine in my apartment.

I'd suggest what you needed to exercise was a few days of dancing to 5am in the UK and exploring everywhere, but while we need something a little more practical I might suggest some more natural forms of exercise than going to the gym. Gym's are very artificial. Go for a walk, climb a hill, take in some scenery or do some gardening or something voluntary. As long as you're active you'll still be shedding the pounds and firming up.

*hugs*

I love dancing, tho clubs/bars in Buffalo are only open til 4 a.m. I'm not sure if it's UK music or just the DJ, but XXL was at Bear Trek and his night was mediocre at best. (Still better than any of Buffalo's bear nights!) Friday night I danced my ass off for hours.

I'd not drag you all the way over here and take you somewhere pants like XXL. I am talking *real* clubs here! LOL

LOL You don't like XXL either, eh? The only plus side of that night was the accent, he was cute, and he looked even cuter in a kilt. :)
