I was chatting with a friend about working out and getting into shape. (He's a gorgeous guy. He's buff, cute, and a red-head... and he's taken! No fair!!!) My shoulder seems to be doing fine. I've got the ipod all loaded up. Just need to create a play list or two. Next week, I want to try to start getting back to the gym. Wanna do some ( Read more... )

I'm in the Leave Me Alone club too. I need someone to get me there and motivated, but once I'm in there, I need to do my shit alone. I don't need someone there to watch me struggle with the weights or strain to hit X mph. I guess I just need a Car Pool for the Gym.

As you might expect, I'm in the opposite club. I'm constantly distracted by other guys, so when I see guys lifting more than me, I tend to get distracted , and eventually upset. Furthermore, there are a few exercises (bench press comes to mind) where I don't trust random people to spot me (I'll spot other people, but I never ask for a spot) and so I've plateaued. *shrug* to each their own I suppose.

Let's chat about this. We might be able to work something out.

I'm the same way...need someone to "go with" to make sure I actually GO, but tend to really just concentrate on my program when I'm there and not chat much.

We could talk more about it Wednesday night.

Sounds cool. A lot of it will probably all depend on our work schedules too. Since I get out late, I tend to go in the morning before work. We can talk about this more Wednesday tho.
