I remember when Windows ME came out and everyone absolutely loathed it. I was perplexed as to why people didn't care for it. The initial PC I put Windows ME on actually ran it flawlessly. It ran no better or worse than Windows 98. The relevance of that is, as I understand it is the case here, is that the upgrade experience for Vista is also for everyone. I do agree that there are a number of problems that will go away with enough time: driver issues, software compatibility, etc. Perhaps the most perplexing thing were those hardware devices that were "guaranteed" to work with Vista that, in fact, did not work. I'm not sure how many devices that affected, though

I got a Microsoft brand Vista Certified laser mouse for my laptop (because I hate using the lil pad when Im @ home or work) It worked fine on XP then I upgraded to vista and it barely works. lol
Thats the only "problem" I've had though... other than not knowing where things are that is.
