Hokay. The first part of this is my thoughts on the third new series of Doctor Who, as made by someone who will be seeing the finale tomorrow. I'm right with you there. That's why it hurts so much when they do stupid things to the characters. You feel angry because you're in LOVE, dammit, and you are scorned! Your feelings are toyed with!
How can they take such liberties with the characters? Why must they kill the Master again? Jack = Face of Boe? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?
All I can do is shake my head. And cry. And stop talking at various points in the day because I started thinking about the finale, get upset, and then sit moodily in silence until someone asks what's up. :(

And you can't just dismiss something because the effects aren't great. Though I poke fun at a lot of my "bad" horror movies, I have to go out and say that some of them really have brilliant moments. For example, there's a fantastic shot in Cat People (you know, the one with the David Bowie intro song) of the protagonist, Irena, when she comes back into her boyfriend's bayou-front bungalow (accidental alliteration) late at night.
