Uhm. Are there any other students - high school or university or whatever - who are studying Classics? I'm taking a class in it this semester and it's pretty entertaining to hear these lecturers' opinions on our lives. It's hard to keep a straight face sometimes.

I find it's best just to focus on taking notes at those times. If you don't look at them then it's easier not to burst out laughing, or on a tirade. It's really not their fault, only a small handful of written literature actually survived through the centuries to give them insight.

Save your personal knowledge for the essay papers. Then it makes you look like you have amazing insight.

That's really good advice. It's sort of strange, though, that they present us as having been quite barbaric, really, and look at this century!

And I like that tip too. Thank you!

I've heard people refer to me in conversation. Only once or twice though.

What do they say about us?

We haven't really gotten to Troy yet but I'll let you know what they say. It may not be flattering. [gone] It's so strange that they think they can incorporate generations of experience into one semester.

Right now, we're being taught about the gods. I don't think anyone really understands what it was to have the gods and goddesses walk amongst us. Apparently, we're taking a trip to the Met next week to see the statues and everything.

I think I know what they will say-about me at least. Nothing my family hasn't already said.

Modern mortals always rush things.

Oh! Telemachus and I went there a few times. It...well, some of the things they got wrong, but it is fun.

If they say anything really daft, I'll put them straight.

They do! I don't understand it at all. Time doesn't move faster for them than it ever has for us but they still dash about like nobody's business!

I'm looking forward to it, actually. It might be as funny as the lectures we're getting.

They don't, um, talk about me much. But it's still almost, um, exciting isn't it? We're special.

To be honest, they don't talk about me much. Though we're getting into a whole session on the Gods and Apollo so I'm sure I can't dodge that for ever.

But 'special'. That's a rather lovely way of putting it.

Um, maybe you should read the myth in private before you, um, do that? It would be sad to ruin the ending with a group of people around you.

Do you reckon? I suppose there's no harm in preparing for class, anyways.

Cronus originally put me down as a Classics Major. It was incredibly disconcerting.

Why on earth would he do that? It seems a bit unfair, to say the least!

That seems to be the nature of Cronus.

I'm not sure that excuses him, all the same.

I was hoping to get some hands-on experience in order to prepare for it.
