please let the fairly benign potential for scattered freezing rain overnight turn into enough of a "weather event" that the town will, in effect, shut down so that i can hang out at home quietly tomorrow with my fellas. hell, i'm not asking for much since it doesn't really take a "major" weather event to close the schools around here. just a few

I think I got what you wanted. Icicles and just enough ice on the ground that school was cancelled. Of course things looked fine to me, so I put the girls in the car (this of course sounds like it was easy but it took yelling at Claire like 16 times to finish her breakfast, then not allowing her to finish her breakfast, and still being 15 minutes late), & drove down the hill & into town to school, only to see the little handwritten note on the door that school was closed today. All I had to do was turn on the goddamned Today show & I would have known. But nooOOOOooooo....
