OK, so, I didn't realize it's almost been a month since my last update until I actually looked at my own LJ this morning. Sorry I suck at this

Maybe by the time spring rolls around the eventing trainer will have room? Sounds like that's worth waiting for!
Re: riding... I've been struggling too. By the time I get chores and barn-under-construction stuff done, it's normally 2pm, and I have time to ride 2 horses (out of 8) before evening chores start at 4.
Yes, eventing trainer would be the ideal choice (even though she currently has no indoor, I'm willing to take the trade-off), so fingers are crossed that she'll have some availability pop up soon.
My biggest problem with riding this winter has been the fact that by the time I'm done with work I am SO ready to just be warm already, and I have a really difficult time making myself go back out into the cold. It was almost 60 and sunny yesterday, so I did get a great little ride in, but I'm so out of the habit I still had to talk myself into going. And then when I was on the horse I was like, "Oh yeah! I really like this!" (hence my Facebook post yesterday), so hopefully that little reminder will help boost my motivation going into spring. Good luck with yours! I feel like such a dolt whining to you about it when I have a barn with an indoor and heaters in the wash racks!
DUDE, I SO FEEL YOUR PAIN. That's pretty much exactly the struggle I go through. By the time I deal with the essential chore list, I don't even FEEL like riding. Or doing anything that doesn't involve eating carbohydrates on the couch in front of a movie? And then, when I do MAKE myself go to my lessons, I have the same 'oh YEAH, I *do* like this!' moment too. It doesn't help get the riding done outside, but my lack of motivation has even extended to the lessons where I *have* an indoor to ride in.
