"In the eye?" Jack asked, arching just one eyebrow before he laughed. "All right, okay. Just follow me. Watch Ianto if you need to get an example of that all important swagger we need to get going to pull this off."

Jack rounded the corner first, looking as if he not only had a right to be there, but belonged there too. He smiled at the young blonde behind the desk and her pretty male nurse companion.

"Captain Jack Harkness. I've heard there was a disturbance? You two, perhaps?"

Ianto arches a brow at Kenzi and ducks his head to hide a bit of a smirk. He follows Jack around the corner glancing at his Blackberry mostly unconcerned. Despite most of what has been going on since he's been here, he's too tired and too used to strange occurrences to be concerned about a few odd noises.

He stops glancing between the two at the counter for a moment his expression smooth and neutral. Remaining quiet while Jack talks, he's found in these situations its is often better to allow the captain to handle the talking. He will however give Jack a good jab in the ribs should his tone begin to drift to far outside typical 'polite' territory.

She was so beyond uncomfortable. Between the creepy thing she knew they'd probably find and the entire HOSPITAL factor, Kenzi just wasn't performing at her usual level of awesome. Normally, they didn't even see her when she was "working".

Standing next to Ianto and behind Jack made her feel a little better about the entire situation. In fact, it made her comfortable enough to roll her eyes at Jack's 'swagger'. Really?

At least now she was a bit more relaxed and could make it look like she didn't want to run the hell away.

The point was to get information and Jack's secret weapons were to flirt and be entirely too knowledgeable. Even if he had no idea what he was talking about, he could still manage to come off as if he did. Like now, for instance, when the two manning the desk looked about as skeptical as anyone. "Did Lt. Summers send you?"

Jack smiled. Captain outranked lieutenant, but they were in different branches of the military so really, heirarchy didn't quite match in this case. It also was obvious that, as a new commer, Jack was low man on the totem pole. "That's right. My team and I are here to help you sort out your little problem."

The man sighed a faint: 'thank God.'

"We have a problem patient. He's over here."
