Funny, I just made some orange jello and was searching the web for the rule on putting pineapple in it. I know frozen and fresh prohibits firming, and wasn't sure about canned. Anyway, tuna fish and jello?! I've got some serious gagging goin' on here!
Did you know that they used to make celery flavored Jello? It's the only flavor of Jello that's ever been cancelled (I learned that at Bard; college was good for something!).
Actually, I do remember celery flavored Jello, and also chopping celery and putting in in lime Jello. I'm from the time when Jello was served just about every night for dessert. Large families like mine ate it with fruit cocktail or peaches, but never, ever with tuna and mayonnaise!
I'd seen the Gallery of Regrettable Food before. This fits right in! I'll hopefully be scanning more from this 50's McCall's in the near future, but I'll try not to duplicate ads that are already on their site.
