I am the king of "OH HAY I'M APPING YOU A CHARACTER" and then not doing it :(

Also, I think the best way to get into a relationship is to just not worry about it and let it play out naturally. Like, until they actually kissed, I had no real idea if Shinjiro and Kanji were going to get together. People may think using mistletoe as a jumping board is cheap, but I think if that's what brings feelings, or the possibility of feelings, to light then, well, who cares right?

Also! Kanji needs to beat stuff up, so let's train in the caves! We could do an "ITP TEENAGERS DROPPING MONSTERS LIKE THEY'RE TISSUES" post.

If it helps, I have RPed relationships in which every step of the way was planned (because it was a Marauders era Harry Potter RP, so we had to make sure that the end result matched with canon XD;). With CFUD, I haven't RPed as many relationships as other people, but I've RPed a few. I find that, if you and Yukiko agree on their OTPality, things will just happen because CFUD lends itself to lol awkward love a lot. (Dream posts, who do you want to tap posts, truth or dare posts (I MISS THOSE), mistletoe, etc.) I say, don't plan it! Or plan for spur of the moment things, like "wouldn't it be funny if this hilarious misunderstanding occurred in this thread and Yukiko ended up touching Chie's boob?" Stuff like that. \o/ It'll be a lot less stressful, and fun.

I HAVE GOTTEN IT INTO MY HEAD SOMEHOW THAT I SHOULD BE DISCONTENT WITH MY PLAY.

I think the main idea is to say 'FUCK SECRET POSTS'.

And anon posts, which would be rather more appropriate. And heck, just relax and play! I realise that is harder than it sounds, but I really don't think anyone's too worried but ourselves in these sorts of cases.

Man, I hadn't even thought of that. I don't really read any secret posts or anon posts or HMD memes or anything, but their very existence makes a lot of people at lot more tense about something that is meant to be FUN.

Possibly it's the large iced coffee with copious amounts of sweetener in it cheering me up at the moment, but I am more zen about a number of things now, having made this post and talked about stuff.

There is also a lot to be said for just having a mental flush. Really I would just go for it and not worry - you've given people outlets with which to contact you if they really do have a problem. If they don't, then what else is there to do but assume they don't (or rather, that they don't have enough of a problem to care about bringing it up?).

I am pretty disapproving of anon posts. Though I have considered just lurking in every roleplaysecrets post to give blunt, straight-up advice to every damn secret.

...So I could put a "no seriously catch up on Soul Eater" response here, but while I will say that automatically I don't actually like doing it much because "NO SERIOUSLY DO THIS" usually has pretty much exactly the opposite effect on me.

So I will just say that really the Soul Eater cast has had really fairly limited goings-on lately (need more cast!), and I do not think you are the worst castmate ever! In fact I feel sometimes that I am pretty high on that list, since we share two canons and yet somehow we interact approximately never. >_>

THAT SAID I really don't think you're that behind on Soul Eater, from last time I asked. (I mean... several chapters is a whole lot of months of time not being up-to-date, but not actually that much reading material.) And if you happen to go pick it up there have been a lot of cool happenings that I think you would enjoy, including some stuff with Patty. |D

...I feel like I had something to say about Baccano! here too but OH WELL

A lot of my "meh, catching up on soul eater" comes from the fact that... I AM NOT A HUGE FAN OF THE STYLE OF THE MANGA! I love the anime art SO FREAKING MUCH but I hear from where I left off in the anime, it starts to go off in it's own direction, and. idk man.

...It is possible that we have had this discussion before, but I really love the anime art a lot better too! In addition to just liking watching anime better in general. I have a really hard time telling what is going on with shounen manga whooshty lines, and I don't connect to characters very well without audible voices for them. There are very few manga that I have ever followed at all.

HOWEVER it is true, the end of the anime goes off in a direction that I cannot recommend to anyone, since even dosed with rum watching the last ten episodes or so I wanted to punch things repeatedly and I now entirely deny their existence. IT'S A SHAME THE ANIME ENDED WITH BREW, HUH?

If it helps at all I think the art has improved dramatically in recent chapters, particularly compared to the beginning? But mostly I just think everything that has happened in the manga lately has been amazingly cool.
Okay, that's a lie. I was not terribly fond of the four pages of dramatic whooshty lines and falling petals a few chapters ago. But even the rest of ( ... )

WHOOSHY SHOUNEN LINES ARE WHY I CAN'T READ A NUMBER OF MANGA THAT I WOULD OTHERWISE ADORE :(

also my tolerance for Bad Anime is surprisingly high (...i willingly watch Akikan) so WHO KNOWS maybe i'll actually be able to tolerate it without alcohol.

IT'S COOL, YOU KNOW WE'RE IN THE SAME BOAT. I have zero interest in Soul Eater at this point, but I feel like I'd be way unhappy if Kid got reapped right after I dropped him. so. idk.

We should at least start pondering an epic drop post for shits and giggles.

I was crying at Tot while writing this post and was like "MAN IF I DECIDE TO DROP PATTY BEFORE JURI DROPS KID, MY ENTIRE DROP POST IS JUST GONNA BE 'BYE-BYE KID! :D' "
