Welcome to the the "Rec List List!"

Not a list as such but flywoman did a turn on crack_van last year and you can see her recs at this link. Includes some fic and some vids, not all H/W.

Hi - I have two fic lists on my LJ page. It's authors reccing their own favorite fics that they wrote themselves (god, how awkward is that phrasing?). Not only a treasure trove of fic, but a way to see why authors have their favorite "babies."

Could you possibly change the name of my lists? Right now it sounds like my own masterlist. Perhaps "Authors Reccing Themselves" or something like that.

Yay! Then that's what we'll call it on the author listings (which includes an "also featured on other rec lists" bit) here, when it goes live:

That project is one of my reasons for tracking down more rec lists. lit_luminary and I are still evaluating fics and expanding our rec list, but you can read the definitions pages for now, if you're interested.

This counts as an oldie and oftentimes goodie, but I've found it has a lot of good things I've never seen rec'ced elsewhere. It's the Television Without Pity Fanfic Recommendations page. Not really a list, but it includes links. Hasn't been updated since 2009 and is read-only, but still worthwhile.

Thanks. It's *definitely* a labor of love. A gleeful obsession. We love it.

Many fics in the what-iffy genre were already our favorites and instantly made it to the list. But, we're scouring the web to find more (if you've seen my LJ, this should come as no surprise). We've found about 650 potentially reccable fics that seem to fit our categories. We read, discuss, and definitively rec as time permits. So far about 100 fics by about 50 authors are officially on the rec list.

We'd like to finalize it as much as possible before making the rec list publicly available, so we can rec everyone at once. :) Stay tuned!
