Robert Sean Leonard Joining ‘Born Yesterday’ on Broadway
 By DAVE ITZKOFF

Joseph Viles/Fox Robert Sean LeonardThe doctor is out, temporarily, and headed back onto to Broadway: Robert Sean Leonard, who plays the infinitely patient oncologist Dr. James Wilson on the hit Fox medical drama “House,” will return to the stage in the coming revival of “Born Yesterday,” its press representatives said on Tuesday. Mr. Leonard is set to join the production as Paul Verrall, the journalist tasked with educating Billie Dawn, the showgirl and galpal of the crooked mogul Harry Brock. This latest revival of the Garson Kanin play, which is to begin previews at the Cort Theater on March 31 and open on April 24, previously announced that it will star Jim Belushi (of “According to Jim”) as Brock and Nina Arianda (“Venus in Furs”) as Dawn, and will be directed by Doug Hughes (“Doubt”). The original Broadway production starred Paul Douglas, Judy Holliday and Gary Merrill, and the 1950 film version starred Broderick Crawford, Ms. Holliday and William Holden.

Mr. Leonard’s previous theater credits include the Broadway production of Tom Stoppard’s “Invention of Love,” which won him the Tony Award for featured actor in a play, as well as Broadway revivals of “Candida” and “Long Day’s Journey Into Night” that earned him Tony nominations, and an ill-fated production of “Midsummer Night’s Dream” seen in “Dead Poets Society.
