Love Peter Jackson. Just love him. He takes a lot of criticism, but there's no question in my mind that he does what he does out of sheer love for what he does.

It really is. The sisters just posted their reaction to the cast's reaction to their reaction, so this might just go on forever!

The video of the cast members watching the reaction to the trailer was wonderful. It made me smile so widely and even gave me the warm fuzzies.

I love it, because they take such obvious delight in seeing how much people enjoy what they do. And I saw this shortly after I read an interview with Evangeline Lillly in which she said she was prepared for all the hate that Tauriel's going to get, no matter what she does, so it made me all sorts of happy especially for her.

Oh, yeah - you know if we'd been watching it in the same room we would have been squeeing uncontrollably. I mean, I was squeeing enough all by myself, and you know these things just feed each other...

One of the reasons I really, really love this is as I said above to mahaliem, I'd just read an interview with Evangeline Lilly in which she (sadly) said that she was prepared for the hate her character was going to receive - so I'm especially happy for her that these girls reacted so positively, and that she has this as initial feedback.

And now I have a new "squee!" icon, too!

My pleasure! I think I've watched the elf-reaction video almost as many times as I've watched the actual trailer.

What made me happy was that I came away from the video thinking, "Good people." Which we don't always get when we get a peek at actors unscripted. Good people, good hearts, genuinely happy to be getting such a reaction.

And as for Tauriel, I was pretty much "Well, why not?" before - now, I already love her.
