I wasn't even into Paul Simon at that point; it would be a few years before I discovered Simon & Garfunkel and took it from there. A friend at school had a Graceland T-shirt, but she was always effortlessly cool on the music front.

It was a landmark album for me! I remember playing it on my dad's expensive hifi, for which permission had to be sought.

I wonder if he'd ever consider some kind of collaboration with Peter Gabriel.. I feel something quite special could emerge. ^_^

I do need to see more gigs - it's been a while, too. Last was.. Amon Tobin's ISAM tour, May 2014, I think. Where are good places to keep up with who's touring? I recently noticed Regina Spektor's got a few UK dates shortly, but the South Bank ones are (surprise!) sold out, and the Bristle tickets are getting resold for £70+. =:P

Gosh, yes - not a huge Peter Gabriel fan, but I could see that.

Where do I get my gig news? Twitter, very often, or the Review section of the Saturday Telegraph. I'm also on the mailing list for a few venues, like the Borderline off Charing Cross Road.
