The Fairy Godmother
Gwen awoke with a start, unsure of what woke her up. She looked around the dim room and saw Rhys snoring with great abandon next to her. It was then she heard Duncan fussing in the other room.
Rubbing the sleep from her eyes, Gwen padded into the nursery, stopping as she saw a dark-haired woman standing over Duncan's crib. Duncan gurgled his approval as the woman sang him a lullaby. Duncan smiled at the woman.
Gwen's heart beat so hard it nearly ripped open her chest. Her mind tried to form words as the woman turned to her and disappeared.
"Tosh."
