Perchance To Dream
She plodded into the kitchen, mussing up her red hair as she ran her fingers through it. Flipping on the overhead, she chuckled at Gramps as he stared at her guiltily, a spoon above the carton of ice cream. She smiled and grabbed another spoon, joining him.
“Couldn’t sleep sweetheart?”
“Yeah Gramps. I had some weird dreams.” She nibbled on a big scoop of Rocky Road.
“What kind of dreams?” Gramps handed her a cookie from the chair next to him.
“Like I was among the stars. Utter bollocks, eh?”
Gramps stood up. “Whatever you say sweetheart.” He kissed her good-night.
