'do you rememeber what i was doing when we first met changmin?'

'yeah, you were smiling.'

changmin grins at the night sky as yoochun wraps his scarf tighter around his neck, the air is getting chilly. the first time they met was in a park. yoochun had just started walking home from work when changmin crashed into him with his now broken bike. changmin would have sworn it was love at first sight, but yoochun would beg to differ. yoochun despised changmin when they first met, but even so, changmin's warm and caring feelings reached over and hugged yoochun until he gave in.

it's been a year or two since then, the both of them have already lost count.

'yoochun please don't die! you can't leave me now!'

changmin's already become hysterical, but then again, who wouldn't when their lover is on their deathbed. an hour ago from this situation, the two of them had their hands entwined in each others, and they were crossing the street. changmin turned his head and he could see police cars and he could hear the sirens loud and clear. another car was in front of the police cars, the man ran out and he ran over to the two of them. yoochun turned his head and he noticed the man running toward them, as did changmin, but what yoochun saw that changmin didn't see was a gun in the man's right hand. yoochun pushed changmin out of the way, and changmin's worst fears, his boyfriend being held hostage by gunpoint.

'yoochun!'

changmin couldn't take it, why did yoochun have to push him out of the way? changmin could see yoochun turning his head and smiling at changmin, even though it was a smile, it was the saddest one changmin had ever seen on yoochun's face. it seemed to say 'goodbye'. the man holding the gun to yoochun's head pushed him and just as one of the cops ran over to grab yoochun, the man pulled the trigger. missing the cop, he got yoochun in the chest.

and this is changmin now, holding yoochun by the hand, knowning that he won't make, but even so, he can't help but hope.

'yoochun, please don't leave me yet.'

the tears covering his face, the heartbreak masking his voice.

'changmin, do you remember what i was doing when we first met?'

changmin chokes up a bit, but he wipes the tears away and answers.

'yeah, you were smiling.'

yoochun looks over at changmin, and he smiles right before the sound of flat-lining fills the room.

('changmin, do you remember what i was doing the last time we saw each other?')

('yeah, you were smiling.')
