As a Native Born Californian this fic filled me with pure terror.
That said it was good.

I actually just moved to California in the last year. Haven't ever experienced an earthquake, but some of the natives I've met act like it isn't a big deal. I'm from the midwest. Floods, snowstorms, fires, tornados, those things I can handle... no big deal. Earthquakes? The whole idea freaks me the hell out. I hope I never have to experience one.

My husband grew up in "Tornado Alley" in Ohio. We now live on the east coast; so we have been through both tornados and several hurricanes, but this scenario - this earthquake trapping Don and Ian, was terrifying. I'd like to think they both made it, but either way, it was a great story. Very well done.
