Gorgeous!
What kind of flower/plant is that? It looks like a pinwheel. How pretty! Are they fragrant?

Datura Apple Thorn. Was totally NOT thrilled to find out it was a type of Angel Trumpet, although they are beautiful flowers and this one, in particular, is prettier than some of the other varieties, but I try to keep plants out of the yard that may be hazardous to critters. Unfortunately, I think it heard me talking about uprooting it, and charmed me with its flower today, so I am re-thinking my position - lol! As near as I can tell, it doesn't smell like anything, although I know some varieties do.

flowers are one of nature's miracles, i think. i'm watching a peonie bloom right now. it starts as a big sticky ball full of ants (apparantly, the ants help the peonie bloom by eating off the sticky stuff, or something) then gradually, very very gradually, it starts to unfold. right now it's still mostly a ball but with pink and white showing all over the place. and there's a sage blooming on the porch and it's like a snap dragon but purple with white stripes. it's one of the most beautiful flowers i've seen. so small and delicate and gorgeous. i'm definitely hooked on flowers!

what is this one? it's amazing!

It's in the Angel Trumpet family - as near as I can tell Datura Apple Thorn. The guy that gave me it said it was some-kind-of-bush-apple-something-or-other. Had I realized what it was, I probably would have said "No thanks" because while they are very pretty, they can also be pretty poisonous. Hoping the critters stay away from it because I would feel like a murderer if I uprooted it...especially since it bloomed for me. :-)
