How do you catch up on six months?

Well I guess you don't really. It has been busy at work at at home.  I guess my work life started to spin out of control when my assistant went on maternity leave in April.  Keep in mind I live in Canada, land of liberal employment leave. So, I will see her again (if at all) next April.  I had a really ard time finding any kind of replacement, much ( Read more... )

Hello, lovely lady!

Sorry to hear you're still snowed under at work! Finding reliable staff can be a real headache I know. I am currently beginning to look for a full time position but feeling guilty for leaving my current part time one as I'm not sure they'll be allowed to re-fund my position following structuring changes. Oh well.. :(

Sorry to hear about your son's injury too, that's got to be tough for him to deal with!

Can't wait to hear and see all about Scotland! Hope you enjoyed visiting the UK! :)

Am sorry too, to hear about your stress at work and your son's injury.

Hope your trip to Scotland gave you a well earned break and new energy. I thought about you when I heard that Gabaldon's first book had been televised. Have you read all the books in the Outlander series now? I read the first three a long time ago (so long ago I had to, ehrm, google what it's called...)

I have only seen three episodes so far, but it has been really good. Sticking fairly close to the source material.

I have read all of the Outlander series now. Gabaldon was at my local bookstore and I fangirled the whole time.

Good for you!!!

Have a stack of books by my bed to read (and heaps more on the shelves) but I've started watching and re-reading Outlander and I'm thoroughly enjoying it.

Yay! I think they're doing a top-notch job with the series. My fellow series watcher (also my DA buddy) has never read Outlander. I have loaned her my copy and she says it's sitting on the coffee table, tempting her. I'm sure she'll give in when the series breaks mid-season (I believe they are showing 8 episodes, then breaking for a few months, then showing the remaining 8 episodes)

Sorry things have been tough lately. :( Sometimes the stuff going wrong never seems to end, does it? So glad you got your trip to Scotland in there though and I'm dying to see more pics!
